The Kansas City Continuum was created by composer Nicholas Omiccioli as a vehicle for performing his music as well as works by established and emerging international composers written after 1945.  The KCContinuum believes in promoting music of today that evolved out a tradition and expanding audiences’ exposure to infrequently performed contemporary music.  The current ensemble consists of a rotating group of members that are chosen according to the particular needs of upcoming projects.  For the current season, the KCContinuum will be presenting music written by Elliott Carter, George Crumb, Toru Takemitsu, Karel Husa, and Nicholas Omiccioli.
