  • (3/15/10) Nicholas S. Omiccioli will be a featured guest composer and lecturer at the 22nd Annual New Music Festival at Heidelberg University March 19-21st.  Invisible Worlds (2009) for flute & piano will be performed by DuoSolo, the guest ensemble for the festival on Sunday, March 21st.
  • (3/15/10) Nicholas S. Omiccioli received a Preparing Future Faculty Fellowship at the University of Missouri – Kansas City for 2010-11.
  • (2/7/10) Nicholas S. Omiccioli was nominated for an award by the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
  • (2/7/10) Falling Into Infinity (2009) will premiere on the UMKC Musica Nova concert as a winner of the 2010 UMKC Composition Competition.  The work will be performed by the Graduate Fellowship Quintet (Liberace Winds).
  • (2/7/10) Nicholas S. Omiccioli will be a guest composer at the University of Nebraska – Kearney New Music Festival.  The festival will feature his Piano Trio No. 1 (2008) on Tuesday, February 16th.
  • (1/5/10) Insights No. 1 (2009) will be performed by James Keel Williams at the Memphis Double-Reed Festival at the University of Memphis on Friday, January 22nd. The work will also be performed at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro on Thursday, February 2nd, by Michael Burns for the Society of Composers, Inc. (SCI) Region IV Conference.
  • (1/5/10) A joint recital with composer Lee Hartman is scheduled for Sunday, January 31st at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Works will include Three Poems of Emily Dickinson (2004/06), Insights No. 1 (2009), and Piano Trio No. 1 (2008).
